Sung by: Gerald De Palmas
Note: I think I'm going to start trying to translate French songs. I think it would be a good exercise, and perhaps you'll get some benefit out of it as well.
en français
Comment peux tu vivre avec ce type
Comment fais tu pour écouter
Le morceau de bêtises qu'il débite
Sans arrêt à longueur de journée
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis, Au paradis
oh, ouhouh oh
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis, Au paradis
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis
Tu as gagné ta place Au paradis, Au paradis
*bellâtre = fop (according to Google Translation) or bodybuilder (according to wiki). If anyone knows of a better word or what the context is, please let me know.

in English:
How can you live with this guy
How do you listen to
The garbage he utters
Nonstop all day long
You won your place in paradise
And if an angel comes by, go with him
You won your place in Heaven, In Heaven
oh, oh ouhouh
It's like you're from outer space
Or maybe you're just the first
But honestly there is no reason
You must endure this ordeal
One day or other he'll have to leave
When children grow up
Living alone without the fop
It is a matter of survival
You won your place in paradise
And if an angel comes by, go with him
You won your place in Heaven, In Heaven
One day or other he'll have to leave
When children grow up
Living alone without the fop
It is a matter of survival
You won your place in paradise
And if an angel comes by, go with him
You won your place in Heaven, In Heaven

Introduction
Welcome to my blog: Sous le Soleil Exactement (souslesoleilxactement).
I am an American girl who is going to France for a year. I hope to catch up on all the French musical acts that I've been wanting to see. I've made a list of artists I want to see during this time, although I know that some of these people do not tour anymore or do not have any concert dates scheduled:
Tina Arena
Charles Aznavour
Chimène Badi
Najoua Belyzel
Amel Bent
BB Brunes
Calogero
Coralie Clément
Coeur de Pirate
Emma Daumas
Thierry de Cara
Gérald De Palmas
Mylène Farmer
Féfé
Élodie Frégé
France Gall
Melody Gardot
Garou
Françoise Hardy
David Hallyday
Jenifer
Joyce Jonathan
Sandrine Kiberlain
Marie Laforêt
Mozart l'opera rock
Nolwenn Leroy
Sheryfa Luna
Emmanuel Moire
Quentin Mosimann
Pascal Obispo
Michel Sardou
Alain Souchon
Natasha St-Pier
Superbus
Laurent Voulzy
I love the older songs as well as the breath of fresh air coming from the new generations. Before I get to France, I may post French song lyrics. I am working on learning the language as well and will post translations as time permits.
Welcome to my journey and I hope you follow along with me.
